No. 01Meet Catherine
Catherine Grasso has lived in Calvert County for 51 years.
She and her husband, Frank, made their home in Dunkirk, where they raised their three children. Over nearly five decades, Catherine has watched Calvert grow and has remained involved in the community she calls home.

No. 02Before elected office
A career in federal service — and in budgets.
Before entering elected office, Catherine spent her career in federal service with the United States Department of Agriculture.
Her responsibilities included formulating and executing an agency budget and administering three nationwide programs connected to the livestock industry.
That experience gave Catherine an extensive background in government budgeting, program administration and management of public resources before she ever joined the County Commission.
Catherine came to the Board with professional experience managing government budgets. She believes county government must carefully distinguish between what it can spend and what it needs to spend.
